With record-breaking revenue to close out 2023, MHMM continues to reach new heights with 15 percent growth. Recent accomplishments

The rapidly changing healthcare landscape requires an agile partner with innovative solutions. Staying one step ahead of a dynamic industry requires a dynamic thought partner. To reinforce our commitment to ensuring patients get access to the medicines they need, MHMM recently launched three proprietary customer solutions to support pharmaceutical manufacturer access strategies: PaxPort, GEMSYS, and AccessXPlorer. Executives say PaxPort is a strategic framework that “goes beyond the traditional journey we typically see, allowing brands to uncover access roadblocks and, in turn, map omnichannel solutions to overcome them. GEMSYS identifies, engages, and activates key opinion leaders and other influencers who inform coverage and pathways decisions through a geo-targeted heat map. AccessXplorer is a  managed markets training program that leverages a customized platform to educate manufacturer teams on managed markets stakeholders, policies, and business objectives that shape their brand’s access opportunities.

“We are excited to bring these solutions to our client partners,” says Kim Wishnow-Per, president, MHMM. “These customer solutions are based on what our clients have asked for – and are designed to bring value to our clients and their customers.”

In 2023, MHMM added 16 new account wins, gaining seven clients new to its roster. “In fact, 2024 is already starting off strong, with another new client already on the books at the time of drafting this profile,” agency leaders say.

Executives add that while gaining new clients is always a key accomplishment, equally important is organic growth with existing clients. “MHMM saw significant growth through its current client relationships, with five new pieces of business coming in through those relationships.”

MHMM is a full-service managed markets agency, delivering innovative solutions across the managed markets value chain,” according to agency leaders.

MHMM has four operating units – MHMM NJ, MHMM NY, MHMM East, and MHMM West – that managers say provide dedicated, independent teams tailored to client-specific needs and processes. Each operating unit has a leadership team with account, strategy, and creative leaders who manage the work and resourcing, and drive the client relationships. “This structure also provides firewalls to ensure client and category exclusivity and confidentiality.”

During 2023, each OU had unique achievements, executives say. MHMM NJ experienced organic growth in oncology and “thanks to exceeding client expectations as AOR for a unique specialty product in market access and site of care work streams, MHMM was awarded additional HCP business in 2023 without a pitch.”

MHMM NY had the most new business wins in the agency, and diversified its work streams to include additional rare disease work, market access training, and a biosimilars launch.

MHMM East is now the anchor to AOR work with a new client, managers say, and helped this client launch a major new indication in six months.

MHMM West expanded its remit with market access wins for several new brands in 2023, executives say, nearly doubling in size and scope for 2024.

Future plans

As the future unfolds, MHMM will continue to expand its dedication in getting patients access to the medicines they need,  agency leaders declare. “In this effort, we hope to drive and grow our client partnerships and offerings through increased integration in the IPG Health network.”

Philanthropy/citizenship

MHMM has continued to support Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center, for which the agency collected donations and volunteered to prepare meals for the community; America’s Grow-A-Row events during which volunteers harvested corn, cucumbers, and tomatoes; and Moms Helping Moms to provide essentials needed for moms with children to have a safe and healthy start.

For the first time, MHMM supported the Feeding America food drive. And since 2018, MHMM has partnered with Rutgers University, as part of its fellowship program. Pharmacy students experience a two-year rotation within the network, spending time at MHMM and learning about market access and communications. The agency also rotates through preceptors from top pharmacy programs.
